Disk Clone - Backup Instructions

Follow the below steps to create disk image backup.

Drive and System Image Backup

To create drive image,
  1. Download and install IDrive on your computer.
  2. Sign in to your IDrive account with Username and Password.

    Note: If you have set a private encryption key for your account, then provide the private key.

  3. Click 'Clone/Computer Backup'.
  4. In the 'Clone/Computer Backup' screen, click 'Disk clone'.
  5. Under 'Drive image backup', select the 'Online Backup', or 'Local Backup', or 'IDrive Express Backup' radio button.
  6. Note: For local backups, you can choose to store the local backup with or without encryption.

  7. Select 'Source drive' for backup.
  8. Choose a local drive from the 'Temporary local backup destination' drop-down menu.
  9. If you have selected 'Local Backup', click mac_cutoff_sync-new to select a 'Backup location'.
  10. Click 'Schedule Now'.
  11. The 'Schedule Backup' screen appears.
  12. Create a schedule for performing regular drive image backups and click 'Save Changes'.
  13. After the backup is complete, click 'Activity logs' to view the backup details.
To create a system image
  1. Click the 'Clone/Computer Backup'.
  2. In the 'Clone/Computer Backup' screen, click 'Disk clone'.
  3. Under 'System image backup' select the 'Online Backup', or, 'Local Backup', or 'IDrive Express™ Backup' radio button.
  4. Select 'Source drive' for backup.
  5. Choose a local drive/network computer from the 'Temporary local backup destination' drop-down menu.
  6. If you have selected 'Local Backup', click mac_cutoff_sync-new to select a backup location.
  7. Click 'Schedule Now'.
  8. The 'Schedule Backup' screen appears.
  9. Create a schedule for performing regular system image backups and click 'Save Changes'.
  10. After the backup is complete, click 'Activity logs' to view the backup details.
